Yay! I was primarily working on your throat issues, but will now endeavour to work on the rest. I get that it is merely remnents of the healing process, but that there is something that I can still facilitate. I'll see you on Monday. Monika

Hi Tammy,
I've been working on you / with your high self on your situation for some time now. Finally, I received the information that it was serving you in some way to hold onto the illness. That was finally worked through and the healing energies should now have had some effect on your physical body (there was no problem healling your other bodies, but the physical was adamate in it's position). Let me know how things are progressing, okay?

Sorry about that - I should have included a bit more info, it started out like a cold, and the first day I would lose my voice off and on. that went on for a few days with some sinus congestion. Then i started to get a tight chest and a cough. I would have coughing fits and then just times when it felt "gravely" in my throat like i needed to cough to clear it - but if i tried to do that, nothing would clear. It seemed hard to breathe. I went to various doctors because it never passed this stage, first they gave me Penicillin for a sinus infection - there was no improvement. Then they gave me medication for asthma, that didn't work either. Next was x-rays to check for somthing wrong in my lungs, everything came back normal. I started going to my chiropractor/acupuncturist out of sheer desperation, - it felt as if my throat was closing over and my lungs couldn't take a deep breath for 7 weeks!! I've had 2 treatments and some naturopathic throat spray - my throat is finally quite a bit better, not totally fixed, my sinuses are still plugged, and my chest still feels "heavy" but it's easier to breathe.

Thank you for your insight, i will try what you recommend, this doesn't feel like any regular "cold" and we are on the 9th week i believe - so i will pretty much try anything and this sounds great!! Thanks so much! :)

Namaste Tammy,,,,,,,,,Your description of a weird Throat/Chest thing, is kind of a vague description. But in general Ayurveda recommends the following measures for the common ailments of sore throat, cough, congestions and flu like symptoms.

The first thing is your diet:

Go on a bland diet. Mushy oatmeal in the morning, with a teaspoon of cinnamom, a pinch of cardamon powder, and a pinch of ground ginger powder, no dairy, no white sugar. Just a spoon of unpasturized, organic honey.

Lunch: soup, made by: cut up fine 2 cups of mixed vegetables for example : one potatoe, one carrot, one stalk of celery, one broccoli stalk., and a few pieces of cauliflower. Saute in 1 tablespoon of ghee or olive oil, a tablespoon of grated organic ginger root, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, a half a teaspoon of tumeric powder, for a few seconds. Add your cut vegetable pieces, and stir fry on medium heat for a few minutes. Add enough water to cover the vegetables. Bring to a boil, then lower heat, and simmer until vegetables are tender. Take half of the vegetable soup, and blend in a blender. Return to the pot and stir, (this gives the soup some creamy texture). Add Himalayan rock salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Yummy. The warmth from the soup is soothing to the throat, and the ginger root and cumin and tumeric are healing spices. Warm liquid also cleans out the digestive tract.

For Dinner try Kitcheree. : one quarter cup of organic basmati rice, and one quarter cup of organic split mung beans. (little yellow beans). Combine in a bowl and wash very well, by stirring it around in the bowl of water and then emptying the wash water slowly so that the beans and rice don't go down the drain., ( use a sieve if you like). Take the washed mixture , put into a pot and add 4 cups of water., to which you add 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger root, 1 teaspoon Tumeric powder, and 1 teaspoon cumin seeds. Bring to a boil, and then turn down heat to medium low, cover and gently simmer till it is broken down and soft and mushy. Add a teaspoon of ghee, or olive oil at the end.

If you follow this bland type of diet , avoiding all types of junk food, or packaged food, avoiding pop, chips, candy, pastries, dairy, and avoiding cold drinks, and sweetened fruit juices, instead replacing with herbal teas, especially ginger tea, which is made by adding to one cup of boiled water, a quarter teaspoon of ginger powder, and a pinch of clove, and cinnamon powder, taken with a spoon of honey, it may help. Try fresh hot lemonade, by adding to a cup of boiled water, the fresh juice squeezed from half of a lemon, and adding one spoon of honey, taken just before bed. Rub tiger balm, or use eucalyptus oil, on your forehead (avoid eye area), and rub on chest. Hug a hot water bottle, wear a turtleneck sweater, and bundle on the blankets and sweat it out for the night. Try to also use tinctures of Golden seal and Echinesea.

Drink a lot of room temperature water , or plain hot water between meals. And don't take a lot of water during your meals, take only enough to moisten your food. For 3 days, eat this bland diet, avoiding all other foods, and drinking the ginger tea, and your home made fresh hot lemonade with honey. Also make your own cough syrop, by mixing 1 teaspoon cinnamon pwder, with 1 teaspoon honey. Lick it off the spoon 3 times a day, morning, noon and night.

These are just common sense tips. Let me know if they help at all. I have done the above in my own life, and it has helped me with common cold symptoms of throat and chest. .....love and light.......p.dasi

Hello fellow lightworkers! i have a favor to ask - i've had this weird throat/chest thing happening for about 2 months now, traditional doc's don't know what it is, i'm trying acupuncture and some natural medicine but nothing seems to be working. If anyone could pick up on what it might be - it would be much appreciated!! :)
