Today is the second of three important eclipses.
This one touted as the Eclipse of the Century.
Join me and thousands of other, around the globe, as we sit in meditation during the event, opening ourselves to the power of JOY of creating for ourselves a new world, even as the old one ends.
Many Blessings,

I agree Tammy. That is sometimes the native way. They often trust or believe that they can create more of the same so are often not afraid to release it when needed. I like the idea of rescuing/adopting them. I have heard through the Lakotas that for some of us who are not able to connect with an elder to teach us or other (Shamanistic elders) that it is better that those who have an interest in it can purchase a book or tools. It is important that the art is not lost. The intention and the love for it is what matters most to many.

Hi Tammy,
Whenever you have finished clearing your new drum,
try setting a metronome at a nice beat and practice keeping in time, drumming.
It's good practice.

Yes - it's actually sad all the things you can find in a pawn shop. . . apparently even teepees. . . which i would love to have if i had the room! At first i thought it wouldn't be right to "buy" one, but then i thought of it more as rescuing /adopting it and now i want to rescue them all!!. . . .now i just need some drum lessons!! :)

Wow! That's fabulous Tammy! I never thought to look in a pawn shop for a drum. I gave a drum away as a gift before moving away and eventually would like to find another one. Good idea.
Yes it is always good to smudge anything new to clear the energies and make them yours.
Happy drumming! Lucky you!

Thanks Emmy - I will do that. . . one question - what's a medicine bundle?
:)

Yes really important to smudge the energy off the drum. You dont know how many hands have been on it. Talk to the spirit of the drum and let it know you are now the new owner and taking care of it. Make an alter for your new medicine bundle.

I have adopted a drum from a pawn shop. . . just wondering if anyone knows how
i should best take care of it and should i smudge it - and anything else i need to know??
thanks,
Tam
