The Body Soul & Spirit Expo

It is vital that children as well as adults learn that nature is what creates life.

Without supporting our knowledge of this then people just do not understand and live as if nature is a commodity - utilising it, polluting it and worst of all not respecting its beauty.

As with anything, if nature is not safeguarded it will die.

This inevitably means death for all life forms.

I believe that today, more than ever before, it is important to partake in whatever helps to support mother nature.

Voluntary programmes are important. Supporting organisations such as the World Wildlife Fund and those who emphasise the preservation of the rainforest, and other beautiful and uniques aspects of nature, are vital.

It is also vital to emphasise to politicians and business people the importance of taking nature into account rather than just economic growth.

All this is only achieved when these issues becomes important for everyone.

One problem is that in most third world countries people are focusing on economic growth due to many problems that they are facing and nature has been forgotten. This inevitably leads to more suffering and pain as pollution and other destructions enter these pristine and vital ecosystems and landscapes.

Thanks for your perspective Tony !

As the collective vibration of the planet changes, so we too humans are called to live in balance, In AYNI as the Q'ero people of Peru describe it. Coming into right relationship with your self is the First step and when you are in balance with yourself - then a piece of balance is restored to Mother Earth.

What we are doing is part of the Cycles of Earth - most civilizations are destroyed or changed to correct an imbalance. So, dear ones we are just being called back to Ayni........On this subject I do advocate a friend of mine who is an author and has written two great books on this subject - check out his website at www.hugobonjean.com

Dear Samantha

What you say has truth in it.

But the native people who I have worked with extensively were talking about an era that has a completely different reality than the one that we are facing.

The first step is to come into correct relationship to yourself but this does not in any way lessen the active meditation of coming into correct relationship with the world also. The native people did this extensively in that spirituality was not self centered or individualistic rather a sharing with community spirit.

Unless we do the same, ie act from wisdom, then with the technology that we have today, I personally do not believe that the world will just go through another cycle but rather quite an extensive shake up.

I dont see shaking up as a solution. I see harmony and joy as the way to deeper spirituality and sharing, hence the need for us to all remind everyone including ourselves of what is priority and what is value in our everyday living.

The one thing that people misunderstand with native people is that they understand spirituality in a way that is separate from their history, their culture and their way of life. This is something that anthropologists are now addressing realising now that we cannot look into another culture and take some wisdoms and leave others behind but rather we have to be sharing that space of wisdom from our culture and understanding.

I do not believe going back or going forward is the answer I believe that we all need to be present to what is actually happening and awake to the many dimensions of the reality we are living in.

I invite you to view the below youtube video or consider purchasing the book 'Shaman's Wisdom' as above.

Don't disagree with anything you say Tony except to propose that it is a wonderful ideal that will inevitably fail. I know many will disagree strongly with my comment and that's absolutely ok but the biggest problem this planet faces is overpopulation. All the money in the world spent on preserving wildlife etc is only going to prolong the inevitable because when it comes to a contest between people and nature - nature will lose every time until break-point is reached and then nature will sort the problem out as it always has. Unfortunately - I have seen it many times.

Please understand that I do everything in my power to reduce my own pollution of the planet, and encourage every other person that I can to do the same but until we get serious about (seriously) limiting our population growth - we are a lost cause.

From the Great Mystery comes Great Spirit. It comes in many guises.
It existed before any of us were born.
So did our parents.

Personally, I was brought up to respect my parents, even as they respected me.
I get great joy from them asking for my help, now.
They are old and need help and that they trust me to provide for them is an honor.
The wisdom the two of them shared with me has taught me a great deal.
They taught me that helping those in need is a spiritual thing, a right thing, to do.
I search for ways to be of service to them before they ask, and I do this with Great Joy.
When the offer comes to help, before they ask, I enjoy seeing the happiness in their eyes when they realize, that, what they taught I learned.

It is past time for the people of this planet to re-prioritize.
Rather than asking for help from God and the Planet,
howz about we re-play something a Kennedy once implied
and ask how we can help Great Spirit/Nature/Ourselves?

Thanks for the vent. LIGHT! to you all.

I am pretty sure we will not be thought less of.

Dear Tom

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I completely agree that humanity and overpopulation problems are partially responsible for the state of affairs in the world but if we look at history it is a good way to understand why things go wrong then we see even 500 years ago when the population was negligible compared to todays population people destroyed each other, nature and the joy of humanity because of greed and wanting to dominate rather than to live in harmony with their environment.

I think if people learn to live in harmony with themselves and thus with the natural world around them also, then you will find that our respect for nature will even out many of the problems we are facing today especially in the West.

You will find also that when people are living in harmony with their environment that overpopulation which is a desperate survival mechanism becomes less of a problem.

This means we have to be positive and proactive in our relationship to ourselves and to others and to nature. By doing this others will follow rather than follow the old paradigm of domination and lack of cooperation.
