More about the Eagle and Condor (South America and North America):

Many of the indigenous cultures of the world share a two-thousand year old prophecy about the eagle and the condor. In the Andes it is expressed as the coming of the new Pachacuti, an interval of roughly 500 years. The prophecy foretold an unbalance and tremendous conflict throughout the Americas from around 1500 to 2000. During this time the eagle, representing the mental and materialistic, has driven the condor, representing the spiritual and heart-centered, almost into extinction.

The eagle represents the modern, technological world, and the people of the eagle have developed the intellect at the expense of the heart. They have developed technology to an extraordinary level, bringing them material wealth beyond their wildest dreams. But they also find themselves spiritually impoverished to their peril.

The people of the condor represent the indigenous people of the world living close to the land, with the heart and wisdom that come from being attuned to the natural world. They live from their heart and through their senses, and have an unparalleled depth of spirituality and wisdom that is an expression of their profound connection to nature. These people are spiritually rich but materially impoverished. The forces of the developed world now threaten their environment that they depend on for their material and spiritual sustenance. They must understand and develop some of the intellectual skills of the eagle.

According to the prophecy of the eagle and condor, we are at the beginning of the "Fifth Pachacuti", a time when the condor will rise again and will once again fly together wing to wing in the same sky as the eagle and the world will come into balance. It is a time of partnership, love and healing, and a transition out of an era of conflict and turmoil into more sustainable and earth-honoring ways. It will be a time of great transition but also with some dangers. The condor will not soon forget the domination of the eagle. The eagle must also change to help restore the balance.

Our task now is to begin to return to the heart-wisdom ways of the condor; to individually begin to fulfill the prophecy. We need to "come to our senses," and listen with our hearts to what the earth is trying to tell us. We need to begin to look at and understand how the individual choices we make every day not only perpetuate the destruction of the earth, but also contribute to our own sense of unhappiness, stress, and isolation from each other. We must begin now to help the condor soar.

BIOS --
DON MARTIN PINEDO ACUNA -- Don Martin Pinedo Acuna, El Condor, was born and
raised in Paruro (a province of Cuzco , the ancient capital of Peru). He was
the apprentice of the famous Don Benito Corihuaman. After Don Benito's
death, Don Martin inherited his mesa and his knowledge. He lives in the
village of Huasao, Peru where he heals people every day. He is the keeper of
the sacred Apu (mountain) named Pachatusan (where the Earth dances), the
main Apu of the city of Cuzco . His special gift comes through the eyes,
wings and energy of the Condor. His work with healing stones, the
Earth-honoring ceremony (Despacho), and flute-playing is legendary and not
to be missed.

DETAILS: Don Martin was born on the sacred land of Paruro-Cusco-Peru. Don
Martin left his birthplace when he was high school age. At that age he was
sent by his father to gain experience in life in Cusco. Before leaving for
Cusco, a Condor visited him. The bird, tired and old, died near his house.
The Condor just left a massage (Condor is the messager of the Hanap Pacha or
the upper world). A couple months before his departure for Cusco, he had
been blessed by the power of lightning too. Both events marked his
departure to the city. Don Martin studied in Cusco and then worked at
Machupicchu where he met his wife (Don Benito Corihuaman's litttle daugther)
Maria Sanchez. Don Benito was a famous Curaca preist from Ausangati one of
the sacred mountains in the Andes. Don Benito lived in Wasao Cusco where he
married Dona Natico Challaico , daugther of another maestro named Juan
Challaico. During a period of time Don Martin was Benito's and Natico's
assistants. He learned the praxis (practice) of both curanderos, some
secrets and teachings were given to him throught the time. He became an
expert shaman. a Kawak or seer, a visionary who sees the time and space
through coca leaves besides been a Hampeq or healer, expert of healing the
luminous body. He connects the Spirits of nature with his flute and amazing
prayers coming from it.

In Peru, Don Martin works with Maria and Vilma (his wife and daugther).
Their mission on life is to help people on their daily problems of life.
Hundreds of clients come to see him for amazing healings, cleansings and
coca readings, and other andean traditions such as despachos and so on. They have accomplished their given knowledge with the daily practice and
connection with the spirits of nature...

Don martin has been coming to the USA for 6 years in row joining the forces
of the Americas as in the prophecy of the joining of the Eagle and the
Condor.

MARCO NUNEZ ZAMOLLOA -- Marco Nunez Zamalloa is an adept teacher of the
Andean wisdom ways. As Don Martin?s apprentice, he is also an accomplished
shaman. He is Don Martin?s interpreter. A graduate of San Antonio Abad del
Cusco University, he also has his own tour operation in Peru .

Details: Marco is a graduate of business administration and tourism from San
Antonio Abad University at Cusco-Peru. Marco was born and raised in the
center of the andean world, Cusco. Since he was teenager he led groups in
the mountains where he witnessed and learned the medicine on the fields,
walking thousands of miles in the biggest range of the planet, the Andes.
His devotion for the practice came naturally, later he accomplished his
medicine as the voice of the shamans from the jungle, the north of Peru and
the mountains.

Marco is organizing and promoting these events for a few years, the purpose
of it is to join the traditions and forces of the Eagle and the Condor, and
spread the original andean medicine in America.

Marco considers himself a permanent student, an investigator of the andean
traditions which have survived for thousands of years. Marco's purpose in
life is to try to preserve the ancient ways of the andean people and spread
it through the planet so people can learn about one of the most ashtonishing
civilitations of the earth.

One of his mentors, Don Martin Pinedo, has taugh him the duties of the
healers, he helps and assist most of the people during the journeys in Peru,
Bolivia and Ecuador.

He is an expert facilitator of journeys, meetings, events. He is an amazing
andean tradition speaker.

Crystal Rose, Gypsy Witch Doctor Comment by Crystal Rose, Gypsy Witch Doctor on February 4, 2009 at 8:54am
This is a really cool place, from which I have already learned much. I read everyone's comments and have learned there is just as much confusion and misunderstanding around the word 'Shaman' as there is the word 'Witch'.
I had a very slanted perspective on what they were as well, but as i have travelled along my journey of self discovery-well you guys all know about the layers that fall away.
Now I understand that a 'Shaman' is one who has been called by Spirit to be of service to others. Regardless of where we come from or how we got there-Spirit has seen it appropiate to call upon us to help others see the way in which they can truly heal themselves. We are all part of the large diamond that is Spirit and regardless of which facet we have been using to get he job done, which one we see at the moment, or even which ones we understand; they are all part of the larger diamond-which is much to large for us to see (or comprehend) all at once. Regardless of which path or techniques we chose to use, because they work best for us, we are all part of the same end result. We all chose different ways to get there but we all end up in the same place.
I am pleased and proud to be a part of a group that has the ability to go against our culture and say that we don't have to become part of the gravitational fear pit that has so many of us pulled under, and stand as one memeber of a very diversified group that we call 'Shaman'. Whatever technique, method or formula that is used to help anyone find there way out of that pit and attune with 'Spirit' while building inner energy resources, is in no way a bad thing. I may not understand how it works, or it may be the way I chose to get the job done, but what would we have left to discuss if we were all doing it the same way. Every single one of you are practicing a healing art of some sort (even if it is only on oneself), and everyone is doing it the right way. Even the guy who took the course and is still caught up in the bad habits they learned from their instructor, is on the path of self-discovery and probably has alot of enthusiasm that he hasn't yet experienced. I for one would much rather be an enthusaistic beginner than a jaded professional. I can help others with the skills & knowledge that I have learned; and I can just as easily turn someone off to what I am doing-and quite honestly it has absolutely nothing to do with me. I don't heal anyone-the person being healed is in charge of that. I really have no say in how or what will happen for them, all I can do is put my faith on the line -everytime- and say that I believe this can and wil help-and hope that they are ready to accept whatever gifts Spirit gives them at that moment-I just pass it on-the rest is none of my business.
After many, many years of feeling like one of a kind-weird and not quite human-I am so pleased to learn that there are many more people who have had the same experiences with Spirit that I have. I am also glad that they have found a place in which they can speak their truth and not be afraid of how others will perceive them. I had spent many years trying to find this group, than I went into hibernation and as I am once again coming out of my cave, I am learning the world is a much different place, and perhaps ready for the things I could neither find nor share many, many moons ago.
Thank you Spirit for guiding me here......
