About Me
Hi, I am a healthier candle alternative professional, also known as a candle "addict". I love to burn candles and many of you may know exactly what I am talking about when I use the term "addict".

Lighting candles is the easiest way to provide the exact desired ambiance at any time! There are many reasons why we burn candles and I love to hear the wonderful stories that I do about candle burning and how these candles truly enrich lives in such a positive way with no harmful effects to our health whatsoever.
My Interests
I am passionate about educating on "The Healthier Candle Alternative"!

Most people are conscious about what goes into the body and the effects on our physiological and psychological state but many candle burners/lovers/addicts simply do not know about the dangerous health effects from lighting a candle! We simply are not educated on what exactly is emitted into the air we breathe.

The candle industry is one of the least regulated industries period. A candlemaker can put a sticker on a candle as an advertisement that leads us, as consumers to believe that it is natural product and does not have to list all ingredients.

Did you know that most candles in the industry contain paraffin? Most candles in the retail industry as well as the expensive home party plan candles contain paraffin! They may lead you on to believe there are healthy ingredients in the formulation but you will be surprised to learn how difficult it is to obtain the facts from these companies that paraffin exists in their blends. It is scary - some distributors for certain companies know about the paraffin then talk it up as though it is a good thing! For now I will not talk about health effects of the high quantities of soot emitted and what many wicks contain as I need to get back to paraffin.

Paraffin is a petroleum by-product and is widely used because it is an economical ingredient for candlemakers to use in their formulations and we have come to like the way that paraffin makes the candles burn. The problem exists when we light a candle, that consists of even the smallest amount of paraffin. Paraffin emits 13 known toxins and carcinogens into the air we breathe. We have been unknowingly, exposing our friends, our children and our pets to the 9 toxins and the 4 carcinogens (cancer-causing). Would we ever in a million years think to make the link of many health problems in society, such as cancer along many respiratory dis-eases in the body to our candle burning? Becoming educated is always the first step to making positive changes.
